This picture book is accompanied by a ‘1001 stories project’
led by a professor Paul Kim at Stanford University.
The 1001 stories project is
for children whose voices are rarely heard or cultivated
and to give them dreams and hopes to become an author.
We collect their real stories and make them into a picture book.
It’s the one and only in the world.
This story is about a friend named Habinama Nahayo from Rwanda.
We, Haeng an elementary school 4rd grade students,
listened and made a book by drawing and writing for him.
Although it’s not perfect,
we made this book from the bottom of our heart.
We hope you enjoy the story.
